Privacy
No cookies. No analytics. No ads. No tracking. Here’s exactly what we keep, and why.
Watchfox is almost ready. Nothing is for sale yet, and the plugin isn’t out. This page explains how it will work.
Updated
The short version
- This website uses no cookies, analytics, ads or tracking.
- Join the early-access list, and we keep your email for one thing: telling you when Watchfox is ready.
- Once the plugin is out, your list of plugins stays on your site. We only learn what problems it found.
- We never sell your data. We only share it with the few services that run Watchfox for us, listed below.
Who’s responsible
Watchfox is run by Ajeer Mohammed in Malappuram, Kerala, India, who is responsible for your data. Write to him at alerts@watchfox.site.
The early-access list
If you join, we keep:
- your email address;
- the language you were reading in, so we write to you in it;
- the date you joined;
- the country you connected from, worked out by our host. We don’t keep your internet address.
We keep it because you asked us to (your consent), and only to email you about the launch. You can take that back any time. We delete the list within 3 months of launch, or sooner if you ask.
Once the plugin is out
To send you warnings, the plugin will share:
- your site’s address, and the email and language you choose;
- which versions of WordPress, PHP and Watchfox you run;
- the problems your site found, such as “this plugin, this version, has this problem”;
- your settings and anything you muted.
Our service will also keep your plan and trial dates, and whether each email reached you. Like any web service, it briefly logs internet addresses to stop abuse.
The plugin will never send your full list of plugins, your posts, pages, customers, orders, users or passwords.
We use this to provide the service you signed up for. We keep it while your site uses Watchfox, and delete it within 30 days after you remove Watchfox from all your sites, except what the law makes us keep (like payment records).
What your browser keeps
Close the “read in Spanish” suggestion, and your browser remembers that on your own device so it doesn’t ask again. It never reaches us.
Who helps us run Watchfox
- Cloudflare hosts the website and the early-access list, and keeps them fast and safe from attacks.
- From launch, an email-sending service will deliver our emails, and a payment provider will take payments. We’ll name both here before launch.
These services may handle data outside your country, including in the US and India. Where the law asks for it, we use their standard data protection agreements.
Our fonts come from watchfox.site itself, not from Google or anyone else.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you your data, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. You can also object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent. Email alerts@watchfox.site and a person will do it within 30 days. In the EU or UK you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Watchfox is for people who run websites. It isn’t meant for children, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, we’ll update the date at the top and, once you use Watchfox, email you.
Find out when your site needs fixing.
Leave your email and we’ll write once, on launch day.
